What's it all About?
If you do not have the necessary qualifications, but want to study towards entry onto a future degree, higher education diploma or train for a career in social welfare or social care professions, undertaking modules from the Certificate of Higher Education (Cert HE) is an ideal way of doing so.
Timetable Provision From Sept 2009
Courses are run in 3 areas: Torfaen,
Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly. Individual timetables are available for
each of the Unitary Authorities.
Course List
The following courses are available from the Community University of
the Valleys - East from the beginning of Sept 2009. It is important
to note that the availability of all courses remains subject to learner
demand and the resources.
Accreditation
For each 12 week module successfully completed, credit points are accumulated. For example, if you successfully completed all of the following:
12 week history module worth 10 points
12 week psychology module worth 10 points
12 week cultural studies module worth 10 points
you would have accumulated 30 points towards your Certificate of Higher Education.
